Lake Atitlan on a clear sunny day. The most magical place in the world!

Towns like Panajachel, San Pedro La Laguna and San Juan La Laguna can now be reached by vehicles. If you are looking for a vacation that includes helping people, now is the time to come to Lake Atitlan. You should find many organizations around the lake that can use able bodied people to help in recovery and reconstruction efforts. On my previous blog about San Antonio Polopo I included a link for the organization Artisans United for the Development of Atitlan, they may be a good option for finding volunteer opportunities. Spending your tourist dollars in Guatemala will help this country and it’s people in what is a very difficult economic situation.
